Peyton Green, 17, of Granbury, Texas,  is a rising senior at Tolar High School in Tolar, Texas. She is involved in her school’s student council.

She was the only girl in her engineering class where she enjoyed designing buildings, including a library, she also designed a typewriter. Peyton is a member of the National Honors Society (NHS) and is ranked at the top of her class.

She collects records and is passionate about all styles of music. She is an avid reader and her favorite author is Madaline Miller. She spends much of her time reading various mystery novels.

She is considering several universities including Texas A&M, TCU and Pepperdine. Peyton plans to major in literature with minors in anthropology and engineering. Her dream job is an author but she will likely pursue editing in college and beyond. She is currently editing her mother’s children’s science book. She hopes that this camp will enhance her editing skills for the future and help her improve her writing for the future opportunities that may arise.
