In the past 10 years, TCU has become a top choice for thousands of applicants.
The university has seen its enrollment increase by almost 3,000 students in the past decade, according to TCU Institutional Research.
The university promotes its small class sizes. The student/faculty ratio is 13:1, which some parents said was a draw.
“It’s smaller, which I liked,” said Katherine Cornett, who accompanied her son during his first-year orientation.
Another mother agreed.
“The campus even though it’s not small, it’s a small campus,” she said. “The community feel is just amazing.”
TCU’s endowment, which is over $2 billion, gives the university a strong footing when it comes to scholarships and aid.
“I’m on a full ride and they [admissions] took into consideration my financial situation,” said Vienna Gonzales, an incoming first-year student.
