Clara Beth, 17, of Sunnyvale, Texas, is a rising senior at Sunnyvale High School. She is a member of the varsity cheer squad; Pals, an organization which mentors younger students; and a dance assistant at Sunnyvale Dance Academy. She also attends church. 

Clara Beth won a Strive, Honor, Serve Award at her school. She was selected by the staff and picked out of the junior class. She was student of the month and started an organization called “Serve Sunnyvale.” She talked about the group on CBS news. Its focus is on community service and when the government shut down earlier this year the club worked closely with a non profit to collect and give out food to the people affected. 

Clara Beth came to camp because she’s interested in studying marketing and communications. She said she wants to “learn more about job opportunities that relate to communications and marketing” and “get a new experience and build my resume.” 

Clara Beth said her dream vacation is Santorini, Greece and  favorite shows are “The Summer I Turned Pretty” and “Stranger Things.”
