Camille Krhovjak, 18, of Houston, Texas, and is a rising senior at Memorial High School. She loves staying active by playing soccer, wake surfing and boating. She said she also enjoys sewing and is currently hand sewing a beaded swimsuit, illustrating her patience and attention to details.
Camille was a member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) and participated on the team “Banking On A Cure.” Camille raised over $30,000 for her team, which helped them win first place. Camille also received an award in the annual district-wide fine arts contest dedicated to the theme of “Belonging.” Her team submitted a fun skit to promote acceptance within your community and “to not judge before you get to know someone.”
Camille said she came to the TCU Bob Schieffer Journalism Camp in hopes to pursue her interest in a career of broadcasting, where she can combine creativity and storytelling. She wants to gain hands-on experience, learn more about storytelling, and see what it takes to be a real life broadcaster.
