Adrian Villarreal,15, of Mission, Texas, is a rising sophomore at John Paul II High School. Adrian said he enjoys fishing, watching sports and playing golf. He has a podcast where he talks about sports ranging from football to golf. He has won 13 golf tournaments and has competed in a golf competition called “Drive, Chip and Putt.”
He is a top player on his school’s varsity golf team. He is also a photographer on his school’s yearbook.
He said he came to camp to learn more about journalism. He said he is most excited to practice journalism through interviews and writing and finding what fits him. “I will either be a sports broadcaster or a professional golfer,” he said.
